There's a list of reasons as long as your arm why WWE desperately needs its headline match at on 8 April to be a great one, beginning with the fact that it's WrestleMania, for God's sake.

On top of that, there's also the small matter of this serving as yet another opportunity to try and make real those dreams of Roman Reigns becoming a genuine crowd-pleaser, on a par with legends past like Stone Cold and The Rock.

We know he's not going to do this on the strength of his personality or promos, so in-ring performance takes on even greater significance. He needs to put in the sort of shift that forces fans to momentarily forget the wider context of his push and simply believe in him as an athlete.

This match is also - potentially - the last ever excursion inside the squared circle from Brock Lesnar, about whom speculation of an imminent return to UFC refuses to go away. If 'Mania is to be his swansong, then as a matter of professional pride, you would imagine that he will want to go out with a proverbial bang.
