The Roman Reigns/Braun Strowman rivalry has inarguably been one of the most rewarding WWE conflicts of 2017. Between their physically demanding and creatively insane segments on Monday Night Raw, to their hard-hitting and energetic brawls on pay-per-view, the conflict has done much to enhance the status of both.

As a fresher prospect, Strowman's value has skyrocketed since he took the decision to screw 'The Big Dog' out of the Universal Championship way back at January's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He's performed majestically as a cold and uncompromising monster, happy to dismantle poor ancillaries like Kalisto in between dishing out more beatings to the former Shield member.

Reigns' post-WrestleMania programme was always going to be a challenge after his monumental (and monumentally boring) match with The Undertaker, but in Strowman, he's found his match. Though the programme hasn't had as transformative an impact on the audience as the company may have liked, Roman has allowed the feud to expose some weaknesses that will subtly help the fans connect with him far more than an his impenetrable sneer.

Having defeated Strowman at February's Fastlane but fallen at April's Payback, the setting now seems perfect for Roman to conclude this rewarding chapter of his reascension. Strowman has caused untold damage with the dreaded ambulance, but it's now time for his equally brutal comeuppance.
