8 Last Minute Changes That Could Save WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

3. Book Less Multi-Person Matches

The Fatal 4-Way for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships should be a lot of fun. All four of the teams are great, and there is every chance that the titles will move from The Usos on to a brand new team. This could well be the match of the night come Sunday.

The problem lies in the multi-team format. It is fine in of itself, but its impact is lessened by the fact that the United States Championship is on the line in a triple threat, and the Women’s Championship is being defended under lumberjack match rules. There are going to be too many bodies all over the place throughout the entire night.

If WWE absolutely had to go ahead with a triple threat for the US title, the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships should have been defended in a traditional two-on-two encounter. If the belts are changing hands, then The Usos dropping them in a traditional match would be far more meaningful than doing so in a four-way mess.
