4. Lucha Dragons Vs The Ascension
Given that the Ascension were the most dominant tag team in NXT history and in the midst of a 364-day championship reign, their loss to the smaller Lucha Dragons was not a title switch we saw coming at all.
The Ascension had struggled for competition during their reign - the tag division in NXT at the time was nowhere near the standard it is now - so it was quite surprising that when they finally got a good team to work with, they immediately dropped the titles to them.
In front of a typically hot crowd, using their speed and high flying offence, Kalisto and Sin Cara caused what was called "the biggest upset in NXT history" at the time. Perhaps the saddest part of this whole thing is what an unmitigated disaster it was for The Ascension when they got their call-up to WWE following this dramatic title change.
