2. Hiroshi Tanahashi VS Kazuchika Okada
The series of matches between Tanahashi and Okada are already the stuff of legend. Maybe it's living in the moment, but there is a growing population of wrestling fans who say that the series is the best in wrestling history as far as match quality is concerned. Ric Flair VS Ricky Steamboat is usually the mark for which all other rivalries try to reach, but Tanahashi and Okada seem to be getting the nod because they have now had seven matches against each other, and all of them have been fantastic. In 2013, they had four matches, and the Wrestling Observer gave them 4.75 stars, 5 stars, 4.5 stars and 5 stars, in chronological order. The Observer has never given one of their matches less than 4.25 stars, and many feel this one is deserving of the full amount, as well. There is just such an amazing amount of in-ring chemistry between the two. They have faced off so many times now, and they know what each other is thinking in the ring. They always have crowds split, even though Okada is technically a heel, although he's so good at what he does, many fans can't help but to love him, and that only adds to the great atmosphere for each of their matches. Words simply cannot properly express how good their matches are. Both men have a strong claim as being the best worker in wrestling right now, even though many feel Tanahashi is too old (38) and Okada is too young (27) for such a title. It's magic when they're in the ring, and when it's in the ring together, that magic is tenfold. The best part about the match is that their series is now 3-3-1, which all but guarantees another match at some point in the future, in an attempt to declare a true winner in their feud. As an added bonus, look for some great post-match raw emotion from Okada, which isn't like his character at all, but showed how exhausted he was and just how much the match meant to him.
