Signing inexperienced models has been one of WWE’s most discordant hiring policies over the past few decades. While it’s calmed down somewhat in recent years, the fact that Eva Marie is still under WWE contract shows that the company still aren’t above signing a performer for their looks alone.

Jax comes from a professional modelling background herself, but her story is much different to the likes of Eva and Kelly Kelly. After attending a modelling show during her time in California, Jax was approached by one of the judges, who happened to be an agent. He asked if she’d ever thought about getting into plus-size modelling, and after finishing college, she went down that exact road.

The job boosted Jax’s confidence immensely. Soon, she made it her mission to empower women of a similar size to overcome their insecurities and pursue their dreams. Carrying those same intentions into her professional wrestling career, Jax aims for something far greater than self-gratification.
