The show was already off to a tremendous start by the time Wolfgang and Trent Seven hit the ring, but here's where the WWE UK Tournament switched gears. Brutal, hard-hitting, and spirited, this was like a classic 1990s Strong Style bout condensed into just over seven minutes, and it produced the tournament's biggest upset thus far.

Seven was at the heart of WWE's marketing campaign throughout the build-up. From his big feature at the heart of the Network-exclusive preview show to appearing on local and national television, Trent was immediately positioned as the tournament's biggest babyface, and an early favourite to win.

Wolfgang, meanwhile, completely flew under the radar. The burly Scot is ICW's reigning Heavyweight Champion, but he had little hype coming into the tournament, and few expected him to advance beyond the second round. Instead, Wolfgang has emerged as the tournament's breakout performer. His matches have been tremendously exciting, his work has been top notch, and after last night, the Glaswegian bartender's wrestling schedule is about to get a whole lot busier.

A stunning Swanton Bomb ended Trent Seven's tournament, and sent Wolfgang flying into the next round. As disappointing as it was to see Trent eliminated, every tournament needs an upset, and Wolfgang's win was one of the night's most exciting moments.
