8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (10 Mar - Results & Review)

2. Rhea The Whiner

WWE Raw Rhea Ripley

Last week, the criticism leveled here was that Rhea Ripley losing her Women’s World Championship and blaming Bianca Belair for distracting her was a flimsy premise to create a triple threat for the title at WrestleMania 41, and that it could lead to backlash against Ripley if not handled properly.

Monday, Ripley stormed out to the ring to confront Belair (with Iyo Sky there as well), and she immediately blamed Bianca for being ringside last week because she preferred Iyo as a WrestleMania opponent, still clearly placing the blame for her loss on the person she egged into getting involved in the first place.

The amazing part of this is that fans either aren’t discerning enough to spot this issue, or they simply love Rhea so much that they just don’t care, as they cheered Ripley throughout the entire segment. Realistically, she should have received at least some negative reaction for dismissing Iyo’s accomplishment and not taking responsibility for losing focus during her title defense.

In actuality, this should be a temporary problem that gets overshadowed by the excitement of a triple threat between three of the best in the women’s division, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that WWE is arriving at this point under some flimsy pretenses while stretching Rhea’s standing as a no-nonsense babyface.
