8 Ups & 5 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Hardcore Justice 2021

3. It's Finally All About Her

Su Yung is back in IMPACT Wrestling. ‘The Undead Bride’ choked out Susan – yes, her own alter ego – prior to the knockouts weapons match, replacing her in the match. A minor Up to that in itself.

As a match, it was excellent. It was that excellent to the point that Alisha Edwards, a frequent annoyance to your writer, deserves every bit of praise. Her usage of the staple gun on both Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb With A K was good, as was her reverse DDT on Rosemary onto a pile of thumbtacks.

Other standout points saw Su choke out Alisha, Jordynne Grace’s trash can-assisted sidewalk slam on Alisha, and Havok taking a rope clothesline. That had to hurt; she then took powder to the eyes from Nevaeh. Jordynne’s Vader Bomb followed, but as ‘Thicc Mama Pump’ took a Kaleb superkick, it was Tenille Dashwood who won the right to challenge for the Knockouts Championship.

Tenille has been booked like sh*t ever since returning to IMPACT last September. The pairing of her and Kaleb has ranged from fine to passable; this showing was easily their best yet. Kaleb did his job well. His superkick was exquisite, and his selling of Alisha’s tornado DDT was one of the best your writer has witnessed. Whether or not they remain great going forward is all down to IMPACT’s booking of them.
