8 Ups & 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 27)

4. Finally, Bryan Vs. Roman Emerges

Roman Reigns spearing Daniel Bryan out of his boots hopefully means that the whodunit shenanigans are finally over and their long-rumoured match is finally on.

This is a great relief and for all the other concerns surrounding this storyline, SmackDown's main event angle came off well. It doesn't even matter if Bryan was being sincere in protesting his innocence here: the important thing is the payoff, not the latest twist.

The only way this match doesn't succeed is if it's overbooked to hell. Let's hope that that isn't the case, and the two weeks remaining before Clash of Champions aren't full of nonsense.
