There's always a danger when heavily promoting a new signing that said latest addition won't be able to live up to the hype. In the case of Sarray, however, NXT had no reason to worry at all.

After personally throwing her name into the hat to face the newest force within the brand's women's division, Zoey Stark collided with the Joshi star on this week's show in the latter's debut appearance... and what an appearance.

Exhibiting an impressive mix of explosive strikes, including a forearm that would make Roman Reigns wince, and ruthlessly dynamic submissions, Sarray quickly let the CWC know what she was all about. Stark wasn't simply used as a rag doll on this occasion, though, as she too got in a decent amount of offence and further added to her increasingly impressive showings between the black and gold ropes.

Sarray was obviously always going to come away with the victory here, but a respectful exhibition between two of the show's rising names was simply good business all around, even if the finish appeared to be a little fudged in hindsight.

A Toni Storm attack on Zoey Stark in light of her recent defeat to her at Stand and Deliver was also a welcome direction as both women will no doubt put on some spectacular encounters, all while establishing an NXT women's mid-card arguably stronger than any other promotion's top tier.
