8 Ups And 2 Downs For WWE NXT (Apr 27)

2. Adam Cole Sheds Some Light On His Situation

In his first appearance since ending up on the losing side at TakeOver: Stand and Deliver in his unsanctioned match with Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole cut a douchey figure as he sat by the pool and conversed with ESPN personality Arash Markazi.

During this exchange, Cole noted how he felt his old UE partner got lucky at the aforementioned TakeOver, claimed his former buds turned their backs on him and even found some time to state how he doesn't think new NXT Champion has reached the great heights he did during his "historic" title reign yet.

The key takeaway from this welcome change of pace when it comes to sit-down interviews was the fact that Cole's future is anything but clear. He could quite easily resume his blood-feud with 'Cool Kyle', highlighted in the sight of O'Reilly watching said conversation in real-time, or even realistically throw his name back into the top title hunt.

What is clear though, is that it looks like Cole is doubling down on his prizefighter schtick, acting every bit the a-hole during this segment and opening himself up for a beatdown at the hands of two of the most violent names in NXT as of writing.
