8 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 23)

4. Can You Top This?

Aleister Black Buddy Murphy

So far, WWE has done a decent job with its mini-feud between Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy.

Both men are newcomers to the main roster, and they could have bright futures ahead of them. Pitting them against each other could derail one of their momentum, but their TLC match showed that both can shine and look stronger, even with a clean finish.

Monday night, Black had a quick match against a jobber, who he defeated in a matter of seconds. As he walked back up the ramp, Murphy made his way down for his jobber match, beating his opponent even faster. Aleister came down to the ring for a staredown and offered a handshake, which Buddy rebuffed. However, he turned around and ate a Black Mass for his troubles.

You could see these two forming an alliance of mutual respect, or just fighting each other over and over, eventually over a title. Here’s hoping WWE continues to be smart with this rivalry.
