8 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 23)

7. Alexander Gets Competitive

Maybe someone at Gorilla position told Bobby Lashley and Cedric Alexander they needed to fill 10 minutes.

But for whatever reason, we got a really competitive match between the two when it was easy to speculate that it might have just been an extended squash for Lashley. Alexander hit several of his signature spots, and even stood toe-to-toe with The All-Mighty. Rather than simply fighting from underneath, Alexander controlled a couple spots in the match.

The outcome, however, was never really in question (save for Rusev distracting Lashley), as Bobby hit a spinebuster and spear for the victory. But this was a better match than initially thought.
