8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 12)

3. And We Should Care…?

Jack Swagger has gone from a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania XXIX three years ago to becoming a glorified jobber. His last win on Raw came in December 2015.

So when Jinder Mahal defeated Swagger cleanly, it shouldn’t have been a surprise. Afterward, Tom Phillips interviewed him and observed that his Raw contract expires soon “as everyone knows,” which was an odd thing to say. Swagger simply breathed heavily and walked off without saying a word.

Does that mean he’s leaving Raw and heading to SmackDown (wow, what a coup for the blue brand!)? Is he leaving WWE altogether? Is this the start of an actual redemption angle for Jack? Or will this be forgotten by tomorrow morning?

Bottom line: Should we care about this development or just file it away? For now, it’s hard to muster the effort to care until there’s a reason.
