In case anybody was wondering, the last time Paige won a singles match on Raw was August 2015, more than nine months ago. That might not mean a lot to some, but it€™s really glaring when you think about it. Since then, she€™s lost to Sasha Banks, Natalya, Becky Lynch, Summer Rae and Emma on WWE€™s flagship show.

That streak was broken Monday night, when Paige pinned Women€™s Champion Charlotte in a non-title match. You almost couldn€™t blame fans if they weren€™t invested in the match at first, because Paige had been more of an afterthought in recent months. But kudos to both women Monday, as they drew the crowd into the match as it wore on, with Paige€™s superplex on Charlotte getting a great reaction.

Even the distraction finish worked well, with Ric Flair (who had been banned from ringside but came down anyway) being surrounded by referees and making a scene, allowing Paige to kick Charlotte in the back of the head and roll her up.

Now, if there€™s no follow-up to this €“ Paige pinned the women€™s champ in the center of the ring €“ then it€™s a pretty big wasted opportunity. But for now, it was great to see Paige get some spotlight time on Raw.
