It€™s tough to say whether the budding relationship between Darren Young and Bob Backlund is going to be entertaining or not, but it certainly has a train wreck quality about it, in a good way. You just can€™t turn away because you don€™t know what€™s coming next.

Young has said that he and Backlund are friends outside of the program and he pitched this storyline previously, so you know he€™s committed to making this work. Backlund is just shy of being unhinged all the time and is prone to outbursts, so you never know what he€™s going to say €“ even if the segments are taped.

There€™s also the added benefit that this could be legitimately fun and give Darren a chance to shine on his own. His former Prime Time Players partner Titus O€™Neil has gotten a couple shots, but Young never really has gotten the same chance. Now he€™s at least getting a shot.
