Well, you certainly can’t say that Raw wasn’t eventful, that’s for sure.

Monday night’s episode brought us a ton of information to process: new tag champs, solidifying a heel faction, decimation of the heroes, and a huge return.

Sure, Shawn Michaels was booked and announced, but fans couldn’t have expected the bonus appearance they got when a gong sounded and the arena filled up with smoke. It provided a truly memorable moment, but it might have had an adverse effect on the match the segment was written to promote.

We saw Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler finally cash a check their mouths had written and capture gold together, ending a Cinderella story that really was past its sell-by date. We also saw some lackluster wrestling from returning stars and a confusing return from a wrestler who quit a week earlier.

We also saw a rivalry get kicked into overdrive via a pull-apart brawl and subsequent beatdown that rivaled almost anything we’ve seen on Raw in a long, long time. It definitely provided an intense visual.

Raw was eventful, and it could be resurgent if it can maintain this intensity for more than a week or two. But that’s a big “if.”

With that said, let’s find out how things shook out. Let’s get to it…
