8 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 11)
4. A Flair For Being Annoying
Would it be incorrect to state that Ric Flair is becoming a bigger hindrance to Charlotte than he is an asset? The Nature Boy has been accompanying his daughter to the ring for some time now, and his role has grown as the Divas Champion has become more and more heelish. Its a logical progression, that she would rely on outside help more as she becomes a bigger villainess. But is that whats best for Charlotte? Flair is one of the most iconic wrestlers ever, and despite any damage to his image in recent years, he still garners a lot of attention when hes out at ringside or on screen. Ric has been taking up a good portion of Charlottes mic time some weeks and is more of a focal point than he should be out there. Its clear WWE has used Flair first to rally support, and now to aid in Charlottes transition to heel. But at some point, he needs to be phased out if his daughter is going to succeed on her own merit. Otherwise, shes always going to be Ric Flairs daughter and living in his shadow.
