If we forget for a moment that it shouldn't have needed to happen in the first place, the rehabilitation of Rusev has been one of the big positives for World Wrestling Entertainment. The Bulgarian Brute has regained his United States Championship and looks set to embark on a long run with the title. With Angle possibly returning to WWE, the company has a chance to end the Rusev story the way most people wanted it to end the first time.

Rusev defeats all and sundry, with no challengers left in sight. All of which builds to Rusev laying out the challenge for anyone to come in and challenge him for the United States Championship, the Bulgarian practically begging someone to stand up and defend the USA. Who better than Angle?

If you were particularly ambitious, this story could be dragged out all of the way until Wrestlemania 33, where Angle's music would surely provide us with one of the most memorable moments of the night. As for the match itself, Angle wins and defends the US Championship against a crop of young superstars, and Rusev finally moves up the main event.
