8 Ways WWE Can Book Kurt Angle's Return

1. Mentoring American Alpha

This is what everyone wants, right? Heck, in a recent interview with Mark Madden Kurt Angle himself said this is something he would be interested in. Angle's body is plenty beat up, and whilst he will certainly have a few big matches left in him the real longevity is in employing him as a manager.

Luckily for all involved, there just so happens to be a world class tag team currently residing in NXT, two men who have been frequently compared to another duo closely linked to Kurt Angle. I'm talking of course about American Alpha, Chad Gable & Jason Jordan. The two are amateur wrestling stand-outs, wear singlets and use the Ankle Lock. It is just begging to happen.

The set-up itself is simple. Bring American Alpha up to the main roster, and air a number of vignettes of them training with an unknown mentor ahead of their big debut. Everyone will know this mentor is Angle, but that won't dampen the excitement. The trio arrive on either RAW or SmackDown, and the world sits comfortably at their feet.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
