As of writing, Chelsea Green was once again United States Champion, having defeated Giulia in an extremely short match that stood up the story that the company never even cared about the SmackDown secondary title. The consummate pro, Green had made being the first to hold that gold a part of her deluded characterisation to such an extent that Piper Niven, Alba Fyre and latterly Ethan Page were all able to take roles in her "Secret Hervice". It was thus quite weird when she was booked to lose it to Zelina Vega.

Weird, and something of an upset, but not bad. As opposed to this final moments of this Saturday Night's Main Event rematch.

Looking more like a tag team than opponents due to matching gear, the hurried TV battle wasn't without its charms (a wicked powerbomb to the floor drew a big reaction), but Vega's already-delicate connection with the audience as a babyface was shattered completely along with Chelsea Green's nose when she badly whiffed on a 619 in the closing stretch.

The pair wrapped things up from there with a top rope Code Red, but the botch was evidently as brutal for their online kudos as it was to witness in the building.
