8 Wrestlers Who Have VANISHED From AEW (... And WHY!)

7. Hikaru Shida

Hikaru Shida
AEW

Hikaru Shida was one of the strongest babyfaces in the early years of All Elite Wrestling. She is a big player in the history of the company, earning three AEW Women's World Championships during her run with Tony Khan's promotion. Despite the division undergoing a massive glow-up in the time that she has been away, Shida is a big presence to be missing from our screens for the past 15 months.

The charismatic Japanese superstar has been MIA from AEW since being defeated by Kris Statlander on the 20th November 2024 episode of Dynamite. It has been approaching 6 months since we received a big update on Shida's status, as she revealed that she has renewed her contract with AEW, as well as updating her US Visa, at the beginning of October 2025.

Since then, there has been no word on plans for Shida or any timeline for her comeback. She was active in the ring across multiple promotions in Japan in 2025, but AEW fans are still in the dark about when Hikaru will be back to try to claim more titles to add to her glittering collection.
