8 Wrestlers Who Left WWE & Got JACKED

6. Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland
AEW

WWE must kick themselves when they look at what Swerve Strickland has become for Tony Khan over in AEW. After leaving WWE in 2021, Strickland evolved into a true all-rounder. Swerve is not only able to wield a microphone like a weapon, but he engages audiences in all of his feuds, kicks ass in the ring, and does so whilst boasting the physical build of a God.

Swerve being built like he's ready to fight a field of orcs shouldn't come as any great surprise. He is the cousin of former Dallas Cowboys linebacker, Fred Strickland after all, and enlisted in the United States Army Reserve at the age of just 17. Nevertheless, Strickland was only of moderate size during his time on the indies and in WWE.

In recent years across AEW programming, his transition to becoming one of the company's undisputed main event draws has come with an increase in size. This hasn't remotely inhibited his explosive in-ring style and mobility. Swerve is the perfect modern-day pro wrestler, as he pairs muscle with agility and strength with dexterity.

His glow-up shows absolutely no sign of slowing down.
