8 Wrestling Champions That Left For The Other Side
7. Alundra Blayze As WWE Woman's Champion To WCW
Alundra Blayze is one of the best women's wrestlers that has worked for WWE, but if you've watched WWE programming in the last 20 years you wouldn't know it. She's basically been blackballed by the company because of what happened in 1995 when she went to WCW. She showed up on WCW Monday Nitro using her Madusa name, which is what she used in WCW in the early 1990s. On the December 18, 1995 edition of Nitro, she famously held up the WWE Women's Title and dumped it in a trash can. At the time, WWE was barely pushing women's wrestlers so it didn't really matter to them although they were upset that she would do that on WCW television. It's the symbolism of a WWE title going into the trash that was really hurtful. Her WCW run lasted from late 1995 on and off until the final days of the company. When WWE bought WCW in 2001, they had no interest in her. Most likely they felt betrayed and that they couldn't trust her. She has said that she regretted doing it, but it was something that WCW's Eric Bischoff wanted her to do because he wasn't afraid to take shots at WWE.
