When I started trawling through these matches to put the list together, I fully expected this to be down the bottom somewhere.

I've never been huge on the Hardy Boyz, especially at this point where they were solidifying themselves as singles stars. Lance Cade was never a favourite of mine either. For some reason I really enjoyed Trevor Murdoch though, go figure.

What we get is a surprisingly good opening match, one that follows an old-school formula and works because of it. The crowd love the Hardyz and hate Cade and Murdoch, which always helps. Murdoch's eye is completely messed up, boy does he look bad. He wasn't the most handsome man in the world in the first place, but his duffed eye combined with his fantastic facial expressions really add to the match.

Cade and Murdoch retained after Cade hit Jeff with a sit-out uranage, and their excellent music played them out. Underrated.
