8 WWE Superstars Who Were Never Eliminated From The Royal Rumble
1. The Big Show
The WWE Universe may have tired of his act by the time The Big Show joined The Authority, but back in the '90s and early 2000s, ‘The World’s Largest Athlete’ was still very much a main-eventer, and all things considered, a fairly decent in-ring competitor. But one thing he wasn’t was great at making a case for himself when he was a robbed of a Royal Rumble win back in 2000.
In a classic two-men-go-over-but-one-touches-last scenario, Show was poised for victory when The Rock caught the rope and held on, sending the big man over with his own momentum. However, as seen live and later through alternate camera angles, ‘The Brahma Bull’ botched the reversal and allowed both of his feet contact the floor before Big Show made it over the top rope.
Whether it was meant to be part of the storyline or Rocky actually screwed up, WWE refused to recognize Show as the true winner. Even after ‘The People’s Champ’ finally acknowledged Show’s win during a 2016 RAW return, WWE still stood by their decision. But if they were willing to admit The Rock's feet touched first, then that meant Big Show was never eliminated.
