8 WWE The Horror Show At Extreme Rules Impulse Reactions

1. Braun Strowman Vs. Bray Wyatt

As with every cinematic match, WWE had everybody's expectations to compete with in presenting the latest chapter of the Braun Strowman/Bray Wyatt story. But then when you label something a f*cking "Swamp Fight", you risk inviting a lot of imagination.

The company first elected to deliver amateur dramatics in place of an entire match, opening with a long set piece featuring Braun getting attacked by himself, allowing Bray to enter as he used to and deliver a long speech about absolutely f*ck all, also as he used to.

Eventually they made slapping punching noises against all the backdrops you'd expect, including old wooden shacks, grass verges and eventually the swamp itself. One for the WWEPPorn/Wyatt stan crossover fans came in the form of Alexa Bliss appearing as Sister Abigail in a callback of sorts for the 'Monster Among Men', but when it degenerated in a drown-off between the two, there was so little to even watch, let alone enjoy.

The Fiend popped out of the water at the end because of course he did, but imagine maybe not being excited about the third match between these two when the first and second sucked in their own entirely unique ways. Whoever this was for might have enjoyed it. But seriously, other than the company themselves because that SummerSlam match was booked at WrestleMania, who on earth was this for?
