8 WWE WrestleMania 37 - Night 2 Impulse Reactions

1. Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Edge Vs. Daniel Bryan

Arriving upon the moment Edge (heel, cheered in pockets), Roman Reigns (heel, booed with joyous gusto) and Daniel Bryan (face and as beloved and primed as he was in 2014) squared off was a bit like pulling up at Disneyworld having been blindfolded for the entire journey. And not just because this specific destination was full of some very excited Floridians too.

It might not have been what Edge expected as he pointed at the WrestleMania sign back in January, but he can at least add yet another classic 'Show Of Shows' bout to his glittering CV - this f*cking ruled.

As energetically worked as it was elegantly constructed, the escalation of danger built brilliantly, finding routes to the title for all three before Roman Reigns emphatically retained with help from Jey Uso. After Edge had pancaked Bryan with a con-chair-to, Uso saved before he could do the same to 'The Tribal Chief'. With the threat nullified, Reigns dished his own out to Edge then pinned the stacked pair for a memorable finale.

On an uneven evening, WWE at least levelled up at the end. A pulsating main event booked with star creation/preservation in mind, this was the second topliner in two nights to go into the all-timers list. For all this specific show's failings, that will count for an awful lot.
