5. Just Another Title

Remember last year when the 24/7 Championship was one of the most innovative and fun segments on Raw each week? It almost became a game of “Can you top this?” as they tried to find new and interesting ways for the title to be defended.

Fast-forward to Monday night, when it was defended in a nothing triple threat match between champ Riddick Moss, Mojo Rawley and R-Truth. The “match” consisted of a couple rollup attempts and a few moves, Truth’s homage to John Cena, and a Moss rollup to retain the title. That was it.

Not every week can be a home run, but this was a strikeout looking. If you’re going to have a title that can be defended absolutely anywhere, why keep having these pointless matches? At least Mojo’s mini-gimmick of just challenging people in the ring kind of made sense. Riddick isn’t doing that.
