Triple H's WWE power grab is, for the most part, to be welcomed, since without the input of 'The Game' it is unlikely NXT - or the company's burgeoning women's division - would have reached the same heights.

But his record in the hot seat is not entirely unblemished. Despite a slew of injuries, the decision to put him in the main event of WrestleMania 32 - at close to 50-years-old - was still a little questionable, especially as it meant winning the 2016 Royal Rumble over one or two more deserving stars.

Neither can it be said that the decision served some nebulous "greater good", with the 'Mania main event ultimately falling short of expectations and Roman, having failed to win the support of the crowd, back to square one.
