9 WWE Matches That Fell Apart On Live TV

2. Chris Jericho Vs Neville (Raw, March 14th 2016)

Future AEW colleagues Chris Jericho and PAC were already familiar with one another when they worked together on the March 14th 2016 edition of Monday Night Raw, but 'Y2J' and Charles Robinson certainly looked like total strangers when it came to (mis)communicating on the geordie's deeply unfortunate injury midway through the match.

Neville hurt his ankle early doors during a routine slide through Jericho's legs, and despite attempting to carry on in the immediate aftermath, he ultimately had to pull up when it was clear things were wrong. Jericho appears to communicate to Robinson that he'll make the cover to end things, but Robinson seemingly doesn't hear and only registers a two, leading to an extremely heated exchange between the pair live in the middle of the ring on the flagship show.

As evidenced elsewhere on this list, how exactly referees are supposed to behave when things go awry seems to change depending on who's on the headsets passing on instructions, but Robinson was determined to treat everything as a shoot to such an extent that Jericho ultimately ate a disqualification due to how hard he pushed him while screaming "HE'S HURT!" mid-chaos.
