AEW Revolution: 10 Things That Must Happen
9. Nyla Rose Rolls On As Champ
AEW's female division hasn't exactly been thrilling.
Riho was, to be blunt, boring as Women's Champion, but hopes are high that Nyla Rose can take things to new heights. She has menace as a character, and she's believably rough inside the ring. Unlike Allin vs. Guevara though, this one must be short. Somewhere between six-eight minutes short.
Part of the problem with women's matches in the promotion to date is that they've dragged on and on (and on and on) when most of the women have about as much character as a turnbuckle pad. That's not strictly their fault; AEW has done a depressingly poor job of developing these personalities.
Rose should, all going well, get a dominating win over Kris Statlander. Nyla needs to start racking up wins so whomever eventually beats her looks great by doing so. Statlander isn't that woman, and it'd be utterly sh*te of AEW to cut Rose's title reign short at less than a month.
