AEW Worlds End 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
3. Adam Copeland Loses Again
Worlds End marks the artist formerly known as Edge’s first pay-per-view singles match since joining AEW. He's wrestled four bouts to date (two of them one-on-one), but he's yet to fly solo on PPV for the company. That all changes on Saturday night, and it's pretty important that Adam Copeland comes out on top.
Yeah, he really has to win.
A TNT Title triumph would put Christian Cage in his place and start the slow burn towards Christian realising the error of his ways for another emotionally-charged tag-team run. Everyone wants to see that, so beating Copeland on his first singles PPV go-around would be a massive mistake that could do incredible damage to his All Elite run.
This just isn't the time to see Adam start spiralling through a string of losses. He needs some revenge on Christian, and then "go f*ck yourself" can turn into "I love you, man" eventually. Cage can still continue his brilliant characterisation for a while without the TNT strap anyway.
