AEW's Jon Moxley Reveals His Favourite WWE Moment

"I'd rather have that than a WrestleMania in front of a stadium!"

Current AEW World Champion Jon Moxley told the 'My Mom's Basement' podcast that Roadblock 2016 ranks as his favourite WWE moment.

That show happened mere weeks before WrestleMania 32, and the house show-like setting really appealed to Moxley - he said he loved the stripped down, old-school "NWA Mid-South" feel of the night. That's partly why he cherishes it as his most vital WWE match.

Mox also loved the vibe in the locker room before locking horns with Triple H. He admitted that neither man wanted to show deference to the other by going over what spots they'd work in-ring. So, Moxley turned up "really late" and deliberately waited on someone to come tell him that Trips wanted to talk.

Mind games a-go-go there.

When they finally did get together, both found they shared a similar outlook on how matches should be structured and ended up having a ton of fun. Mox claims he'd rather have had more matches like that in WWE than on "overproduced" WrestleMania card stadium specials.

Roadblock 2016 was the kind of thing Moxley wanted to do more of in the company.
