With AEW's 2025 Blood and Guts now barely a week away, there are some new details on this special episode of Dynamite.

A Fightful Select reader contacted the outlet to note how Blood and Guts is listed at a two-and-a-half-hour run time on TSN in Canada. Upon reaching out to an AEW source, Fightful confirmed that, yes, Blood and Guts will be an "expanded" episode of Dynamite.

Considering that three of the four previous Blood and Guts matches in company history have gone past the 45-minute mark, it's no surprise to see AEW planning for a longer Dynamite broadcast, given how this year will feature two Blood and Guts bouts, as AEW serves up the first-ever women's Blood and Guts.

As it stands, the longest Blood and Guts contest to date came in 2023, clocking in at just over 51 minutes. There, it was Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Adam Page, and the Young Bucks picking up a win over Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Pac, and Konosuke Takeshita. As for the shortest Blood and Guts, that was the inaugural one back in 2023, where the Pinnacle defeated the Inner Circle.

Taking place next Wednesday from Greensboro, North Carolina's First Horizon Coliseum, the 2025 Blood and Guts special will feature Jamie Hayter, Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Toni Storm, and AEW Women's Champion Kris Statlander taking on Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné. In the men's Blood and Guts, it's Darby Allin and Roderick Strong teaming with the Conglomeration to battle Jon Moxley and his Death Riders.
