With some fans speculating over her WWE future after missing WrestleMania 41, Bayley has revealed that she's contracted to WWE until 2026.

In an Insight with Chris Van Vliet appearance recorded prior to 'Mania 41, the topic of Bayley's future came up, to which the Role Model said how she originally thought she'd retire at the age of 35. Now that she is 35, though, the five-time Women's Champion explained how things are different to how she'd imaged them, that she's still main eventing, still doing red carpet events, and that the fans still care about her - which has, in turn, changed her mind from that original plan.

As part of this discussion, Bayley detailed how she has a year-and-a-half left on her existing WWE deal, which would indicate her contract is up towards the end of next year.

In terms of what's next for the California native, she seemed a little unsure, saying how there's still a lot she wants to get done, but adding how she's been with WWE for 12 years and that there's a new generation of women who Bayley thinks are ready to carry the company forward, with Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Lyra Valkyria some of those namedropped here.

Interestingly, the former Damage CTRL leader explained how she's always dreamt of opening her own wrestling school, and how she'd like to do so while still with WWE. If that was the case, Bayley would follow in the footsteps of the likes of Natalya, Seth Rollins, Shawn Spears, and Tyler Breeze in running her own school while still with the market leader.

Bayley's WrestleMania 41 Status

WrestleMania Saturday saw Bayley attacked backstage by an unknown assailant(s), with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce giving Lyra Valkyria 24 hours to find a replacement partner to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on WrestleMania Sunday.

Of course, it would be a returning Becky Lynch who'd team with Lyra, with the two defeating Liv and Raquel to win those Tag Titles. However, that title reign would only be an extremely fleeting one, with Lynch and Valkyria dropping the belts back to the Judgment Day duo on last night's Raw, before the Man turned heel and hit Lyra with three Manhandle Slams.

As for Bayley, it's since been reported in WWE news circles that the 'Mania Night 1 injury angle was simply a storyline injury, and that Bayley was absolutely fine. It had been planned for a fair while that one Four Horsewoman would be replacing another at this year's Showcase of the Immortals as part of Becky Lynch's grand WWE return.

A couple of days removed from that backstage attack on Bayley, we're still none the wiser on who put her on the kayfabe shelf. Given how that Becky heel turn played out, don't bet against it being Lynch as the one who injured Bayley in order to purposely steal her WrestleMania spot.
