Bray Wyatt Joins WWE Raw & Confronts Finn Balor
"Wherever I go...darkness finds me."
Finn Balor had his first televised match since his injury on the "Superstar Shakeup" edition of Monday Night Raw, making short work of Jinder Mahal. While Balor's long-awaited return to the ring is noteworthy, that's not the real story here. It's what happened afterward.
The lights in the arena dimmed and former WWE champion Bray Wyatt appeared on the Titantron. He announced the flagship show as his new home, stating "Wherever I go, darkness finds me."
Bray added that he didn't come to Raw empty handed; he brought a very special gift, "a gift of payback", confirming that he'd still be facing Randy Orton at the upcoming pay-per-view in a "House of Horrors" match.
Wyatt stared menacingly at Finn and warned him "I would watch yourself, friend. Because I will certainly be watching you. Monday Night Raw...I'm here."
And just like that WWE planted the seeds for what could be one of the hottest feuds of the year provided it's booked competently; the downside being that they continue to gut SmackDown of a surprising amount of high profile talent in order to do so.
