Brock Lesnar's 10 Best Second-Run WWE Matches

4. Vs. John Cena (Extreme Rules 2012)

Brock Lesnar, Undertaker
WWE

So you know how at SummerSlam 2016 when Brock faced Randy Orton, and the match finished with Randy getting a hardway blood job via several shots to the head, and the whole thing ended on a damp note? That was the less inspired version of a spot from Brock's first match back against John Cena, when, to start out the match, Brock did the same thing. But they kept going and going, making for an instant classic.

To mark Brock's return to WWE, the company decided to make a statement by having the former UFC Champion beat the absolute holy hell out of their top star. Bear in mind, they were now deep in the PG era, so to have Mr. Fruity Pebbles John Cena bloodied and pilloried was not merely a bold creative move, but a necessary one to have Lesnar stand out from a roster that, at the time, included the Funkasaurus and Hornswoggle.

Of course, this match is derided for its questionable finish, in which Cena, after getting virtually no offence in the entire match, manages to defeat Lesnar with a chain-wrapped fist and and AA onto steel stairs. Still, if you can stomach #LolCenaWins, this is an absolute must-watch for any lovers of brutality.
