Having been out injured since November, Bronson Reed made his grand return at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event last night. And not just that, but Bronson has immediately become part of one of the hottest acts in the company.

The SNME opener saw CM Punk and Sami Zayn take on Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, and that's when Reed made his presence felt.

With Sami Zayn and referee Shawn Bennett distracted by Paul Heyman's antics, and with CM Punk on the outside of the ring, Bronson appeared out of the crowd and subsequently drove Punk through the ringside barricade. That proved enough to catch Zayn off guard, which allowed Breakker to hit Sami with a spear to get the 1-2-3 for his team.

Post-match, Bronson Reed entered the ring and had a face-to-face with Bron Breakker, all as the commentary team mentioned Reed's history with Seth Rollins. After a few tense seconds, Rollins calmed Breakker and hugged Reed, with Bronson and Bron later sharing a handshake.

By this point, CM Punk was back on his feet and entered the ring to get some payback. Unfortunately for the Second City Saint, though, he was easily dispatched by the numbers game, with Reed hitting a standing senton and then landing his patented Tsunami Splash as Rollins and Breakker held Punk in place on the mat. The segment then ended with Reed, Rollins, Breakker, and Heyman standing tall over the fallen CM Punk.

Bronson Reed's History With Rollins And Punk

As touched upon by the WWE commentary team on Saturday Night's Main Event, there's certainly some history between Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins.

Reed and Rollins spent part of 2024 in a mini-feud of sorts, with each man picking up a win over the other last November. That rivalry was kick-started by Bronson attacking the Visionary on Raw and memorably hitting him with six Tsunamis Splashes, leading to a match at Crown Jewel (which Rollins won) and a rematch on Raw (which Reed won).

Later that month, Bronson Reed was part of the WarGames match at Survivor Series, teaming with Solo Sikoa's Bloodline to face Roman Reigns, the Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk. Of course, that was the bout where Reed suffered the foot injury that put him on the shelf until now.

From a storyline perspective, Seth Rollins could say how he handpicked Big Bronson after experiencing firsthand what the Australian can do. Likewise, Reed attacking CM Punk makes all the sense in the world when you remember that Bronson's WarGames injury came when he attempted to put Roman Reigns through a table with a Tsunami from the top of the steel cage. Who was it that dragged Roman out of the way of Reed? Why, that'd be one CM Punk...

Either way, it's just great to see Bronson Reed back in action. The former NXT North American Champion is one hell of a talent with so much upside, and being paired with Rollins, Breakker, and Heyman instantly puts him back in the mix in a major way as part of one of the most prominent acts in the entire company.
