Pro wrestling fans are fickle.

That's not some internet writer building a lofty podium and looking down on anyone. The guy writing this is as guilty as anyone! Traditionally, we're a spoiled bunch, and we tend to occasionally reject things we bloody well asked for in the first place. Roman Reigns and John Cena spring to mind there.

Look above to see an interesting sign behind CM Punk on Raw. It references Jack Perry's "cry me a river" comment in AEW, and has Punk's name scored out. Sure, that's just one fan in a sea of thousands, but it's gonna be tough to maintain the same kind of fervent positivity for CM's return long-term.

Fans could even turn on the man and rebel against WWE's presentation. That'd be nothing new, but it would be a shocker for someone like Punk who regards himself as a man of the people fighting against corporate machinations on their behalf.

Listen out for some boos if his babyface push is relentless.
