Cody Rhodes Set To Wrestle Top EVOLVE Stars
Cody vs. Zack Sabre Jr.? Yes Please.
Cody Rhodes is continuing to make news as one of the hottest free agents in the wrestling industry.
Recently he's been announced for big indy events in the near future as he'll be competing in Pro Wrestling Guerrila's Battle of Los Angeles in early September, and he is also booked for a first-time ever showdown with Kurt Angle on August 27th. Now, he's has some exciting EVOLVE stars that he'll be meeting in the ring this summer as well.
Originally at EVOLVE 66 on August 19th, Rhodes was set to battle Johnny Gargano, but that match has been pulled. Instead he'll be facing indy standout, and Cruiserweight Classic Competitor, Zack Sabre Jr. Sabre is another one of the top free agents around, and the two should deliver a great match. The following night on August 20th, Rhodes is set to take on Chris Hero at EVOLVE 67.
These are two big matches for Rhodes, and will be a great place for him to show off his in-ring work. In WWE as Stardust, he was often limited to short, formulaic matches. Now he's free to work his own style.
The man is certainly keeping busy post-WWE, and you have to wonder who he has his sights set on next.
