How To Debut The Next Rising Stars From NXT

The Ascension

The current NXT Tag Team Champions, there is a good reason why the Ascension make this list. To put it simply, they are a good heel tag team that would be easy for fans to boo. They WWE is in desperate need of quality heel tag teams. Right now, the only heel tag teams are the New Age Outlaws, 3MB, Rybaxel, the Shield, and the Wyatt Family. The problem here is that the New Age Outlaws are acting more as tweeners who haven't decided between the two yet, the Shield are one misstep away from anarchy, and the Wyatt's have their sights set higher on targets such as Daniel Bryan, the Shield, and John Cena. While they can be green at times and boring, the concept is there with Konnor and Viktor. Their gimmick will smoothly be able to transition to the main stage. They just really need to focus on crowd interaction and quality wrestling. If they do that, I can see them as WWE Tag Team Champions by Wrestlemania next year. The problem here is how are they going to make their rise. The WWE is wasting this gimmick in NXT right now and better call them up before it is too late. Considering that Konnor is 34 and Viktor is 33, they don't have much time. With the addition of NXT to the WWE Network, it will allow prospects the ability to transfer over to the main roster with knowledge of who there are. What I see as a perfect opportunity for this duo is for vignettes to appear on Raw for several weeks after Wrestlemania. After 3-4 weeks of this, they enter the ring in darkness following an after-match attack from any other tag team to the champions, who will most likely be the Usos at that time. After explaining the reason behind their attack, they remain steadfast in their pursuit of the titles, although most likely not winning right away. Predicted Time of Debut: Early/Mid May, 2014
