ESPN's 30 For 30 To Profile Ric Flair In New Documentary

ESPN's award winning program will soon feature a documentary on the 16-time world champion.

ESPN's award winning series, 30 For 30, will soon feature a documentary on the life of professional wrestling legend "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Legacy Talent and Entertainment, LLC made the official announcement on Facebook:
"We named this company Legacy Talent because it's our mission to help preserve the legacies that our clients have worked a lifetime to build. Yesterday we took a huge step in documenting Ric Flair's legacy by starting to shoot his 30 for 30 ESPN Film. We are honored to work with such a prestigious group on a project we are so passionate about! €#€ŽFlair30for30€ €#€ŽComingSoon€"
Noted wrestling fan and former ESPN employee Bill Simmons was one of the creators of the series when it debuted back in 2009. Simmons often spoke of wanting to do a wrestling-centric episode for the series, but it didn't happen while he was part of the production team. A short feature on the Von Erich family was once produced under the 30 For 30 name, but it was not a full length documentary and only aired on the internet. It appears that the Flair feature will be a full length documentary set to air on the ESPN networks. If past editions of 30 For 30 are any indications, this is going to be must-see television. The films are well put together, slick presentations that are both entertaining and informational. ESPN has made several documentaries as part of the series and many of them are available via streaming through Netflix.
