After being gone from the company for over a decade, CM Punk walked back into WWE just in time for WrestleMania XL. Then his body exploded.

WrestleMania 41 was a glorious time for Chicago's favourite son. Not only was he facing two huge stars - Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins - he was doing so in the main event... of Night 1!

Anyway, Punk wasn't going to let a technicality get in the way of delivering a main event-worthy performance. Over a drama-filled half-an-hour, all three warriors gave it their all. The action was fantastic, but the main attraction was the bubbling tension between the trio which exploded in the bout's thrilling climax. Despite walking him down to the ring, Paul Heyman turned on his tattooed best friend, not to re-side with his Tribal Chief, but to form a new alliance with Rollins.
This was the perfect capper to one of the best non-title closers in Mania history. It was certainly a lot better than the final match of Night 2, too.
