Every Current Champion In WWE (And Who Should Beat Them)
4. Women’s World Championship
Champion: Naomi
Who Should Beat Her: Stephanie Vaquer
Stephanie Vaquer won a Battle Royal at Evolution to earn a title match against Women's World Championship supremo Naomi at Clash In Paris. That enough capitalised first letters for one sentence? Seriously, it'd be some jaw-dropper if Vaquer beat Naomi to win the belt in France, but that has nothing to do with her being a crummy challenger or anything of the sort.
No, it's more to do with how ace Naomi has been since turning heel. WWE fans are having a wonderful time booing her, but most would agree that the former backup dancer for Brodus Clay has earned every single bit of her success. Thankfully, that sort of cartoonish nonsense seems like a lifetime ago for Naomi - she's cultivated some edge since going bad and outing herself as the woman who brutally attacked Jade Cargill.
Naomi's "Proceed With Caution" gimmick is over, and there's no need to cut her off at the knees come Clash on 31 August. That's OK, because Stephanie can bide her time and build more of a reputation on Raw before going after the champion again somewhere down the line. Then, next time, it'll be Vaquer's match to lose.
Stephanie vs. Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, Nikki Bella, Roxanne Perez, a returning Liv Morgan when she's able. Wow, check out that list of options! They're all fresh feeling match ups too, which is a real blessing for WWE.
So, Clash In Paris is coming too soon, but that doesn't mean for a second that Vaquer won't claim the Women's World Title long term.
