Champions: The Wyatt Sicks

Who Should Beat Them: Andrade & Rey Fenix

This fan actually predicted that fresh, high-flying duo Andrade and Rey Fenix would win the WWE Tag-Team Titles in that hefty TLC match over SummerSlam weekend. Instead, creative decided to keep the straps on The Wyatt Sicks following a number of eye-catching bumps and bruises for everyone from Fraxiom and the Motor City Machine Guns, to The Street Profits and DIY.

Interesting call considering the alternatives.

That TLC bout felt like it'd be an easy title change all day long, but no. Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis hauled down the titles to stay on top of the division. They shouldn't be there for long, because recent episodes of SmackDown have shown up how boring The Wyatt Sicks concept can be. It's time to get back to more dynamic teams holding those championships on the blue brand, Hunter.

Andrade and Fenix have worked some of the best TV bouts of 2025 as a pairing already. It really didn't take long for them to click, and it's clear that this team is the best use of both men as things stand. That's welcome considering how much water Andrade was treading on his own - Fenix was veering awkwardly close to creative stagnation himself, so this team is a lease of life he sorely needed.

Putting Andrade and Rey over Gacy and Lumis, then shifting the high-flyers onto no doubt stellar matches vs. The Profits, DIY, MCMGs, Fraxiom and more, sounds like the best plan here. Hell, Andrade and Fenix vs. Fraxiom in a 20 minute PLE match would have most fans drooling.
