Every Major AEW Show RANKED From Worst To Best

Sequencing issues aside - if only the crowd hadn't tired by the main event - this was another superb and diverse pay-per-view attraction.

That main event was great. Hangman Page used naivety in his performance so brilliantly that he never once came off as a chancer; only a man who wasn't quite ready to beat a legend. A stunning finish put over the Judas Effect more than any other use of the move, but the fans were too fried from Escalera De La Muerte to receive it with the enthusiasm it deserved. That match was a death-defying masterpiece.

It told a story of total symmetry with mind-blowing twists - Matt Jackson and Pentagon found themselves performing stereo ladder-assisted high spots in wait-what-the-f*ck synergy - cannily and expertly placed to cast doubt over the result. PAC Vs. Kenny Omega ruled, too. A match in which they destroyed themselves to put the other away, it's difficult to recall a finisher being established as perfectly as the Brutaliser was here.

The undercard yielded several good-to-excellent matches; Luchasaurus generated about five 1998 Steve Austin pops in his blow-away awesome cameo, and Cody Vs. Shawn Spears was a great deal of crowd-pleasing fun pivotal in getting Cody over as the super babyface ahead of Full Gear.

The deliriously entertaining Cracker Barrel Clash has developed a bad taste in retrospect, but no matter: some things matter more than a piss-funny gag at Jim Cornette's expense.
