Every Version Of WWE's Demon Finn Bálor: Ranked From Worst To Best
5. SummerSlam 2016
On what would become simultaneously Finn Bálor’s greatest and worst night of his WWE career, the Demon King made its first real showing on the main roster. Although the alter ego of the first-ever Universal Champion officially debuted on RAW a week prior, SummerSlam saw the Demon in official competition.
The demonic scribblings of “Demon King” and “Finn Bálor” seen on Monday were still there, though expanded — now covering most of his shoulders and legs. The traditional fanged mouth was present as always, with the new addition of a green tongue. And the Sauron-like eye was still affixed to the Demon’s back, but in a nod to New York City was adorned with a Statue of Liberty styled crown.
It was a traditional look for Bálor’s Demon that featured many repeat design choices, but with enough unique accents to entrench it in the minds of both new and longtime fans of Finn. Unfortunately, though he became the newly crowned champ by the match’s end, Bálor was forced to vacate his title the next night due to a separated shoulder injury — suffered when he was powerbombed into the ringside barricade during his bout with Seth Rollins.
