Then: Things couldn't have gone worse for Karrion Kross and Scarlett when "they" were called up to WWE's main roster in the summer of 2021. Y'see, they weren't called up at all. Only Karrion was, because Vince McMahon somehow thought that the pair's double act on NXT didn't need Scarlett.

Kross subsequently bombed as a would-be Demolition-meets-Mad Max-meets-Shredder from TMNT rip off, and he was cut from the promotion in November. That came just a few months after he'd been tearing it up as one of the biggest names on the third brand. Raw was not kind to Kross.

Now: Karrion and Scarlett received a second chance to make a first impression when Triple H brought them back into WWE in August 2022. At first, he looked destined to become a main event player, but the push stalled quickly and never really got going again.

By mid-2025, management gave Kross and Scarlett a short window to agree a contract extension, but they weren't interested. WWE weirdly pulled their offer off the table anyway, which was just the latest slap in the face for someone who had earned praise for a vicious shoot-style promo during the WrestleMania 41 recap show.

Creative wouldn't capitalise on that. They didn't actually want to. So, Kross and Scarlett left the company and are currently having a blast touring around managing their own schedule in groups like CMLL, MLW and more. A WWE comeback isn't out of the question, but both seem burned out on the corporate nonsense going on behind the scenes with TKO/WWE.
